Chris’ & Pitt’s® — SoCal’s own since 1949

The year was 1949. Chris Pelonis had a dream to open a restaurant and serve the best BAR-B-Q in the world. On a wing and a prayer and a loan of $2,000 from his father, a Greek immigrant, he began his search for a good location. In a defunct dry cleaning shop on Tweedy Boulevard in Lynwood, Chris’ & Pitt’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant was born.

Fast forward to today. Chris & Pitt’s is the original home of the wood fire grill, and customers return time and time again for the best barbeque sauce they’ve ever tasted.

Best of all, consumers can pick up their favorite Chris’ & Pitt’s recipe in all local Southern California grocery stores. Whether their taste buds lean toward the original recipe, or hickory, or even our new bold n’ spicy, when used over an open flame on chicken, ribs, brisket or pork, the real smoke flavor pours out.

While we continuing to develop our own brands, we recognize the significant advantage of strategically aligning with nationally recognized brands under licensing or representation agreements. These brands are incorporated into our portfolio as if they were our own, and we work closely with our partners to build and develop these brands internationally via our vertically integrated internal infrastructure and more than 30,000 retail partnerships.

Private Label

Private label products now often set the bar for quality and consistency at the leading retailers. We are proud to have built a large portfolio of these products, including chicken and sauces amongst others, sold at some of America’s best known national retailers.
