Chris’ & Pitt’s® — SoCal’s own since 1949
The year was 1949. Chris Pelonis had a dream to open a restaurant and serve the best BAR-B-Q in the world. On a wing and a prayer and a loan of $2,000 from his father, a Greek immigrant, he began his search for a good location. In a defunct dry cleaning shop on Tweedy Boulevard in Lynwood, Chris’ & Pitt’s Bar-B-Q Restaurant was born.
Fast forward to today. Chris & Pitt’s is the original home of the wood fire grill, and customers return time and time again for the best barbeque sauce they’ve ever tasted.
Best of all, consumers can pick up their favorite Chris’ & Pitt’s recipe in all local Southern California grocery stores. Whether their taste buds lean toward the original recipe, or hickory, or even our new bold n’ spicy, when used over an open flame on chicken, ribs, brisket or pork, the real smoke flavor pours out.
